Community Relations
HMP Altcourse is committed to having close involvement with community and voluntary organisations. Links have been already established with social volunteers who assist with religious activities and agencies such as Samaritans and Alcoholics Anonymous who are regular contributors to the prisons policies and rehabilitation of prisoners. A drop-in centre is also available for prisoners to discuss any drug problems that they may have.
Prisoners are encouraged and supported to participate in charity fund raising and care is taken to ensure the relevant charity is comfortable with prisoner involvement. |
